Today is a day of instrument announcements and scrapping every last bit of science out of instruments. We go a mile underground to learn about the LUX-ZEPLIN detector and than climb to more than a mile-up to learn about the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument at Kitt Peak. From there we dash out to Pluto and learn about it poorly understood, heartless side.
